Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said in a press conference that the news of artificial shortage of petroleum products came out and the prices of petroleum products in the global market increased by almost 11%, we have to keep all these things in front.
He said that speculations are being made to increase the price of petrol by 50 rupees per litre. In the last 4 months, the price of petroleum products has not been increased even once, but the price of petrol and diesel has decreased by around 20 rupees. While the price of kerosene and light diesel was reduced by 29 and 30 rupees.
He said that Ogra has proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products to eliminate the artificial shortage.
